cheap date night?

this guy is cute :)

broke as a joke but want to spend the day with your significant other and have some fun?

I suggest checking out Phanatic Around Town

Twenty Phanatic statues, all custom-painted by local artists, are located at attractions throughout Philadelphia this summer. Two words: photo op!

And to make it even more fun, the 20 Phanatic statues are located at some of Philadelphia’s favorite attractions, ranging from Citizens Bank Park (home of the Phillies) to the Independence Seaport Museum. And since Philly’s such a walkable city, the next Phanatic is just a hop and a couple skips away.

Brad Scott and I had a blast walking the city and taking in some sights, getting some pics, and having a few refreshing adult beverages on a 90 degree day.

here are some favorite shots. enjoy!

Had to do the rocky statue!!

happy birthday unit

happy bday unit!!! (this pic was DEF late in the night)

e-unit (Erin, my ex-roommate) came to the illadelph for some bday festivities this past weekend. I am truly astounded at how simply awesome the people I surround myself with are.. I really don't know how I got so lucky... and how they tolerate me for years...

irish pub shenanigans, late night tower pizza (with 50cent bday presents) and half a bottle of jim beam in a cherry coke slurpee at 3 am sounds like a good night to me!

birthday treasures: finger laser beam, fake mustache, and a breakdancing figurine...niiiiiice

whats wrong with my brain, part 2

find more pretty stuff

i feel like this is me right now. trying not to succumb to all the pressure... in the end the sun comes out...right??

good news- Dr J is trying to rule-out MS. fingers crossed. bad news- i have no answers and probably wont for a while... until then, more MRIs, biopsies, needles, and the like... great.

enough with the dr talk- im trying not to dwell... not to mention stress makes my symptoms worse... good thing i decided to go to graduate school and i work one of the worst jobs known to mankind... ef

NYC this past weekend was phenomenal. just what i needed. lots of laughs and time with the old roomie.
-wine and cheese party in central park
-beergarden in queens
-little italy
-rice pudding (check this place out if you are ever in NYC...its YUMMM)
- karaoke... no diggity,no doubt

quotes of the weekend:
me: theres an italian restaurant like, every ten feet!!
vince: "italians are known for being good at 2 things: cooking and love-making. and you cant just go around making love on the sidewalks of new york city...
"

vince: "this is the shit dreams are made of"

scott: "and why would i go running? i have a car"

i needed this. my boys make me laugh like none other. d-bags ;)

time spent procrastinating

BREWERY TOUR! YESSS! Yard's Brewery in Philadelphia offers free tours and a walk through of the brewing process... plus free samples and $3 10oz beers in their tasting room! (And really yummy $3 grilled cheese sandwiches...we're talking beer bread and gouda and roasted red peppers and the like. straight up grilled cheese domination here...) If you're ever in the Philly area and need a cheap date idea, everyone loves beer and cold rooms stacked with kegs ;)

Did the usual 'drunky mcdrunkster' routine with the bests this weekend. Saturday night at Fado and Fox&Hound... my goal in life is apparently trying to find Stoopid Matt a girlfriend. So much so that I used my expensive eyeliner to write his number on a napkin and give it to Stella, our server. Cute girl...probably thought i was mental. Meh, such is life.

It was nice having Vince in town and spending time with some people I don't see very often... makes me really miss college. Wonder if I could re-enroll @ 30... just sayin'
